Trick-or-Treating this Halloween

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, we are all looking forward to some fall fun, and that includes Halloween. As Halloween quickly approaches, the city of Chicago has outlined guidelines to ensure everyone has a safe, healthy trick-or-treating experience.

Masks

Trick-or-treaters and those giving out candy should wear a mask that covers both their nose and mouth, in addition to any mask that my serve as a Halloween costumes.

Hand Sanitizer and Socially Distance

If you’re handing out candy this year, you should have hand sanitizer handy and remain socially distant from trick-or-treaters as you hand out candy. This means using the typical trick-or-treat bowl will not work this year. This is a great opportunity to get creative!

Group Size

Your group size should not exceed 6 people. Additionally, be sure your group keeps moving to prevent large groups congregating in a single space.

Eating Candy

All candy should be eaten at home after your hands are thoroughly washed.

Make sure to follow the guidelines outlined to have a safe, fun Halloween!
